Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj and her many personas plus her command of zany vocal characterizations have served her well over the course of her career. Now, the Young Money starlet will join an all-star cast on an upcoming addition of the family-friendly movie series Ice Age: Continental Drift– applying her vocal flair to the fourth edition of the popular film franchise.
According to a report this evening (August 4) from Variety magazine, the Pink Friday diva will join comedienne Joy Behar, funnyman JB Smoove and fellow rap femme fatale Queen Latifah. Rounding out the star-studded cast are Jennifer Lopez, Wanda Sykes, Aziz Ansari and Nicki’s YMCMB cohort Drake among others.
Nicki Minaj, a graduate of the LaGuardia High School Of Music & Art & Performing Arts, majored in drama while attending the famous New York institution. Employing what she’s learned as a teenager and how she’s managed to morph herself many times over in the current phase of her career, Nicki Minaj will surely be at ease playing the as-yet-unnamed character in the film.
Ice Age: Continental Drift is slated for a July 2012 release, right in time for the summer blockbuster season in what may be a sure lock for success for the film. Earlier this Spring, Canadian heartthrob and former television actor Drake was announced as an upcoming cast member.
With back to back tours, a hot-selling debut album and crazed fans imitating her look and style, Nicki Minaj continues to win big with this latest step in her growing career.
